It was an extremely dark and cloudy day, but surprisingly it hadn't rained any so far. Emily had just gotten back from the grocery store after seeing that the house was in need of a few things.
Pushing a strand of dark hair behind her ear, she began to take things out of the brown paper bag and placing them in their rightful place. She had woken up a little early that morning to get to the store so she would hopefully wouldn't have to drive through any rain.
Pulling the last item out of the bag she let out a small sigh. She placed it on the kitchen counter and headed toward the living room. She softly plopped down on the couch after kicking off her shoes. She drew her legs up and crossed them comfortably as she reached over toward the small coffee table and grabbed an old magazine. She opened it to the first page with a small yawn and began to skim through it. Maybe later in the day she would take a quick nap, though she doubted it.

Gabrielle knocked on the Uley door and popped her head inside the small house, a slight grin on her face. She'd meant to go to the Blacks that day to visit Jacob, who she'd been dating for a few months now, but decided she didn't really want to. And, seeing as how she was already in the area, she decided to visit Emily. The woman was always doing something, whether it be cooking or shopping, and didn't seem to get much visitation outside of the pack.
"Hey," she said.

Emily looked up from the magizine when she heard the door open and figured it was one of the boys, but then she heard Gabrielle's voice. "Hey, Gabrielle. How have you been?" The left side of Emily's face pulled into a small smile. She got up from the couch and dropped the magazine back onto the small table.
She walked into the kitchen and looked at Gabrielle while giving a grin. "Did you just get back from seeing Jacob?" She asked curious, having already know of their relationship. "Why don't you take a seat if you like... Want anything to drink or eat?" She asked her as she put both of her hands into her jeans pocket and leaned up against the kitchen counter from behind her.

"Actually, no." She sat down at the table and crossed one leg over the other, placing her hands gently on her knees. "I was going to but decided to come here instead. I needed a break from being around so many guys all the time. Gets tiring after a while, you know?" Gabrielle smiled cheerfully at Sam's scarred girl. "What have you been up to all day?"
OOC: XD Again, not as long as I would have hoped for. T_T But alas, it's too late at night for my brain to function normally.

Emily let out a soft laugh. "I know how you feel, trust me. It does get tiring every once in awhile, but luckily I've gotten quite used it." She gave another quick laugh before she pulled out a chair for herself and took a seat.
"I haven't been up to much... Went to the store and got a few groceries and that's pretty much...Nothing to exciting I'm afraid." Emily answered while smoothing out her lavender shirt. She let out another small yawn as she quickly glanced down at her hands. "What about you? Other than deciding to visit me this morning." She asked while looking back up with another small smile.

Gabrielle shrugged. "Nothing, really. I helped my mom clean the kitchen, but that's pretty much it. Um... when I was driving out here my favorite song played on the radio. I guess that's about as exciting as my day's gotten." She laughed and pushed some of her black locks over her shoulder.
"Hey, exciting things can happen at the store. Like finding discount prices on milk. My mom flips about stuff like that." She gave a sarcastic smile and shook her head. "Then again, my mom's Italian. That's my explanation for her weirdness."

Emily let out a small laugh. "We've all done things that makes us seem a little weird. Hell, I get excited over discount prices on milk too, specially with how much milk I can go through in a week..." She explained while giving a shrug. Emily shook her head with a small chuckle, there was always something weird or exciting going on when you're friends with the Quileute Pack and your fiancee was their leader.
Emily got up from her chair and quickly looked out the small kitchen window to see that it had started to rain lightly. She turned around away from the window and looked back at Gabrielle as she leaned her back on the counter. "How are things going with you and Jacob?" She asked knowing that they had only been together for a few months and that she knew that he was a werewolf. She was happy to see that Jake found someone for himself.

"Yeah, the guys seem to go through a lot of food. I don't think I've ever seen another group of people with more of an appetite. I mean, Jacob alone eats us out of house and home. I'm lucky my mom loves to cook or she would have shooed him off by now," she said in response to Emily's comment about how much milk she goes through.
Gabrielle blushed, even though she knew she shouldn't have. "Oh... things are fine. I don't get to see him as much as I'd like sometimes, with the whole Bella-Wants-To-Be-A-Vampire thing and that vampire... uh... what's her name? Victoria? Yeah. Apparently she's been spotted or something and they're always gone. But other than that there's really nothing I can complain about."

[Hope ya dont mind me popping in] Groaning at the rain, water sloshed around at the top of his boots. He hated the rain. Known sents washed away, and bloodsuckers came out. More reason for him to be out in the feilds of La Push, but he was sure one of the boy's was out there. Well, atleast they should be. Swiftly walking to the house of his fiancee, Emily. He curved a smile at the name. Stomping his shoes on the doormat, he quickly slipped off the wet boots and quickly stepped inside.
Well of course there was a smell he hadn't expected. Gabrielle? His eyes darted down to the girl, seeing that she was probably haveing a polite conversation with Emily. Then something alarmed him. Vampire?! Were? But quickly calmed and found the words in his mouth,
"Oh...hello Gabrielle..."
He slowly slipped of his jacket, wondering if he had interupted some secret conversation. He stood there for a momment, then walked and slid his dripping his jacket on the back of a table chair. He gave a calm look to Emily, he swiftly walked over to her,
"Emily."
He spoke swiftly and gave a quick peck on the top of her forehead. He leaned back up, exchangeing looks between the two girls.

Emily nodded her head at Gabrielle, understanding how she would feel about the whole Bella and Victoria thing going on. "Well other than that, I'm glad to hear things are fine." Emily hated when the boys went out to go after Victoria because when they did she often worry about them, and she hates worrying.
Emily turned her head when she heard someone stomp their feet at the front door. The good side of her face gave a bright smile at the sight of Sam. "Hey." She said as he gave her a peck on the forehead. "Gabrielle came over to visit me and we were just talking." She explained to him in case he was confused on why she was there. "Are you hungry?" She asked him out of old habit as she looked up at him. She stood up straight, no longer leaning against the counter.

Gabrielle looked over at Sam as he entered the room. She gave him a quick smile, unsure of what she should say. He was so intimidating sometimes, and she could never quite find words to say around him. That, and she'd always gotten the distinct impression that he didn't like her. Or maybe, as she hoped, he was like that around everybody. Well, everybody but Emily. "Hey Sam." She said. OOC: All muse = capoot.

Seeing that nothing suspicous was going on, he let his worryness drift off. He stepped around, moving his way towards the fridge, expecting Emily to ask a paticular question. And...bingo. Hrungy? He thought about it for a momment, he opened the fridge, its slight chill seeping out.
"Nah... Just thirsty..."
He hated to refuse a good meal, but when he wasn't hungry he wouldn't let himself go. Had to keep the big wolf in shape. He let a juice bottle grasp in his hand, pulling it from the fridge, casually uncaping it, lifting it to his mouth. But he stopped. His eyes darted to Gabrielle. Darn manly habbits. He lifted the bottle down before he was about to drink from the bottle.
"Er- something to drink Gabrielle?"
Intimidateing? Possibly- his height, his voice, just a look. Hah- if looks could kill. He didn't want to be mean to the girl, but he still hadn't the best interest in this girl. She obviously knew their secret, and he hated that. Stupid Jacob, he growled inside his head. But he felt bad, it was a bit difficult to keep a secret especially when you had no companion. He was usually a nice person around humans. But sometimes with other humans that knew the secrets, it just got akward. So yes... he was a bit pissed at Jacob at the momment.

Gabrielle gave an awkward smile and politely said no. She wasn't particularly thirsty at the moment, and didn't like accepting things from people she barely knew. So she sat there, gently tapping her fingers on her leg. Things definitely were awkward around Sam, and she pretty much knew why.
But it wasn't like she had forced Jacob to tell her what he was. She cringed at the memory. The transformation, how terrified she was at first, before realizing what--or rather, who--it really was. After that, it was kind of hard to keep much from Jacob. She knew his big secret, he knew hers. She just wished Sam didn't care that she knew, because it would make things so much more easy.

Watching Sam walk to the fridge, she leaned back against the kitchen counter after he said he was just thirsty. Seeing him grab the juice bottle, she knew what he was about to do. She turned around and grabbed a glass from the cabinet and placed it on the small round table in front of Sam so he would put his juice in there instead of drinking it out of the container like he usually did.
"Are you sure you don't want anything, Gabrielle?" Emily asked even though she had already said no. "Uh, how's school going so far this year?" She quickly asked trying to break the awkwardness between the two, though she doubt asking that would do the trick.

Good. Cause he didn't like shareing his stuff with strangers anyways. He bitterly thought a grudge to the girl. Just wait, she would tell. What would you expect from a human? Unlike Emily who's been with this situation for a few years now, she would spill it. He spoke nothing thought. He knew how this would turn out. Just like Bella. She would have their secret, and run off with those filthy blood suckers! His jaw tightened at the thought. Stupid wolf boy. He gripped the glass, and only poured about half a glass. Seeing he'd rather think then drink. At the first he thought he was calm... though the situation that was going on still slapped him in the face. JACOB!, his mind screamed. He had been calm about this with Bella, unlike Paul, but now... He just, just- Woah Sam- chill. He thought to himself as he shoved the bottle into the fridge. Takeing a scilent breath, his eyes softened- he turned around to the two ladies his look soft. Although he was burning inside. He glanced to Emily, then his eyes flickered to Gabrielle as if everything was fine. Yea- just dandy.

Jake walked over towards the Uley home. He had sensed Gabrielle there before. He then heard Sam's thoughts and hurried. "Gabrielle!" He pulled open the door. "Sam?" He furrowed his brow. He also ducked his head in Emily's direction. "Emily."
Sam, why are you being so ridiculous? She hates vampires! She H-A-T-E-S HATES vampires, they killed her father... plus she's know about this for a good year!
He said telepathically. He knew Sam would hear it. The 17 year old then walked over to Gabrielle and stood in front of her, his hands on her shoulders and ducked his head slightly. "What did you say to him?" He peaked an eyebrow at the Italian girl. "He thinks you're going to tell... the vampires." He brushed a piece of hair from her face. Then shot something else at Sam.
Just because you think you're the boss doesn't mean anything because we're a pack and no one is better than anyone else. You're only the alpha right now because you're a tad older... not because you have better control or because you're a good leader. He scowled inwardly... and infortunately outwardly as well...

Gabrielle looked up at Jacob, more than relieved that he was finally there. "Thinks... thinks I'm going to tell?" She shot a glance over at Sam, then returned her gaze to Jacob. It was rediculous, but she supposed for someone who didn't know her it was a logical assumption.
But, as her father always said, "Assumptions are the mother of all fuck-ups."
And the werewolves were supposed to be able to read each others minds, right? Then how come Sam came to such a conclusion? The only answer she could come up with was that he didn't want to know the truth. It made her a little mad, she had to admit, but she wasn't going to dwell on it. Jacob would clear things up.

Emily knew something was bugging Sam and it didn't take much to guess what it was. She pushed some of her hair out of her face as she glanced between Gabrielle and Sam. She trusted Gabrielle and knew she wouldn't tell anyone their secret. Specially now that she was with Jake and she could tell she really had feelings for him. There would be no reason for her to go to the vampires, specially if she hated them.
Emily turned her head and watched as Jacob walked through the door. She knew he began talking to Sam telepathically. She had gotten good at figuring out when they did this just by looking at them, though at other times it wasn't easy to tell. Emily rolled her good eye and let out a small unnoticeable sigh. She hated it when Sam or Jacob or any of the other guys would get into fights like this, but eventually they would get past it, understand each other, and make up. Well, usually that's how it went.

Sam's eyes slit for the momment, he stood straight from slouching on the counter beside the fridge. Just in time Jacob. He set his glass down carefully, feeling it might be the best thing to not have in his hand. He really didn't feel like splintering himself with broken glass. As Jacob stood infront of Gabrielle, he listened to Jake's thoughts, woah, he seemed more pissed them him. Oh s.hit- her father was killed by vampires. Well, one more thing to regret. Though his eyes narrowed he spoke aloud, figureing it was now best to let everyone in the conversation.
"Jacob- The last thing I need is feel like being a pack leader... We both know this is dangerous. Not just in the fault of this one telling- but don't you see? You just put risk on her life!"
He gave a fustrated sigh, running his fingers though his hair, speaking again.
"This is the problem, Jacob... If these bloodsuckers find out that she knows about everything... then you just endangered her life. Just like I did with Emily.... What if war breaks out Jake? What's the next thing they have that is closest to us? Our friends, our family, our girlfriends."
Did he not see that either? Takeing a deep breath he cooled himself. He looked to Emily, she was probably tired of this... but it was true. It was a scary life, these days. If the tready is broken, and war breaks out. Everyone is in danger. These vampires arent' stupid, dangerous, but not stupid. He should have put this into more elaboration when he first met Jacob. The least he could have done was keep his werewolf existance a secret until this time was over. Bella's leaving had been so quick... the Cullens were back. Everything, and everyone was in danger.

Gabrielle stood, deciding for once to stand up for herself. "It's not Jacob's fault," she said, "that I know. Well, not really, anyway." She sighed and ran her fingers through her hair, her bright, hazel eyes downcast as she searched for a way to explain what had happened. "I'd gone to Jacob's house one day to apologize for something I'd done. We were talking, and he left the room in a hurry. He told me to wait, but I don't listen to anybody, especially when I know I should. It'll be the downfall of me," she tried to laugh, to make the situation lighter. "I'd seen him go into the garage, and I decided, after waiting a little while, to go in and see what he was doing. I didn't expect... I didn't expect to find him... you know, transformed. He's come a long way since then, in like... controlling when he transforms and stuff. So it wasn't his fault, you see?"
"And I'm sure Jacob would have sent me home any other time, but..." she cringed, hating that she was thinking about this. It wasn't exactly a pleasent memory. "At the time, I was having severe difficulties... I've got Post Traumatic, ya' know? So when it stormed real bad like it did that day I get all freaky and have bad flashbacks and stuff. Jake knew this, and wouldn't send me out in that weather." Her voice got real soft as she spoke, her heart beating quickly.
As she spoke, she stared Sam straight in the eyes. It was best to make eye-contact, she knew. It worked on Jacob, at least.
"And," she hesitated. She didn't want to bring this up, but she felt she sort of had to, hoping it would get Sam to see her point. "And I've seen death before. I've faced it. You guys live a dangerous life, and I understand this. I'm not a fool. But you see, there's really very little that truly scares me anymore. And there are only a few times I experience this fear," she looked at Jacob--he knew what she meant, "and trust me, it has nothing to do with vampires," sort of, "or werewolves. "
OOC: I edited it.
