It was the weekend, Saturday to be exact, and Harper decided to go out and explore the unknown forest. It was pretty early, around 7 or 8 in the morning and the wheather was humid. The kind of humid that warned rain would fall soon. She continued to walk toward the forest, the rain wouldn't bother her one bit. She carried her camera with her, just in case she saw something that deserved to be captured on film. Her cousin Kaitlin told her some pretty scary stories about the forests, but she didn't believe any of that. She looked down at the ground, their was a path already there, but Harper decided to take a different route. The one less traveled.
After an hour, Harper stopped by a small stream to take a break. She knew she was going to do some heavy walking, so she was glad she wore her converse. She sat down on a low rock and looked around. She loved the outdoors, but she was afraid to admit that she had no idea where she was.

Racing through the trees for no absolute reason was quite entertaining, even though he couldn't move nearly as fast as Edward, Jasper still had speed. The only thing that he had to watch out for was humans, if he happened across their paths, he would have to continue running, to make it seem like the blur they had just seen was simply a product of their imagination, or stop and watch; there would be no doubt that the human would be wondering how on earth he had appeared without being heard, but that was their problem. Humans had weak senses and weak bodies, weak everything, quite frustrating really, their vulnerability sometimes made Jasper just want to crush them so easily, and no one would ever know who did it, if they even found a body. The male snapped his thoughts away from the gruesome subject and decided to let them wander somewhere much more pleasant, like Alice, that was always a way to put him in a good mood, start a conversation about Alice. Oh the light haired male could go on for days about her, every little figment of beauty, those large eyes and other physical features, but her personality was a totally different subject, not near the type of beauty that her physical features provided, it was inner beauty.
Thoughts of Alice were washed away when the scent of a human brought him to the present, it was a female and she was nearby, solitary too, only one. What was it with humans and wandering alone in the forest? Quite idiotic really, but of course there was the large chance that she didn't even know about the true horrors that existed in the world. Jasper approached the scent, following it until he reached a creek, there he saw her perched upon a small rock. Luckily for her, he wasn't thirsty, he had been hunting only two days ago and even though there was still a chance of him attacking, it was much less likely now that he was satisfied. Instead of continueing on his way, speeding through the forest, Jasper decided that he would actually go and try and strike up a conversation with her, it would probably be pretty nice, he would just have to watch himself, make sure that he wasn't going to do anything to let his instincts overcome him even in the non-thirsty state.
He began walking towards her, revealing himself, glowing lightly, he glanced up at the sky to make sure that there was full cloud cover, there was, good, not a chance of becoming a scene when a ray of sunlight hit him. He wore a black, sleeveless shirt and a pair of cargo shorts, his nike tennis shoes dirty from the mud. his hair fell into his face slightly, darkened in color from the few droplets of rain that had fallen on him from the wet branches. In fact, he was practically soaking wet, that didn't bother him, it would all dry eventually. Jasper stopped a moment, deciding that it would be best to make some noise to alert the human of his presence, otherwise she might feel that he had been sneaking up on her. Maybe this would be the first chance that he has had since Bella in actually making a human friend, if that was even possible. When he had thought that he had full control over himself around Bella, he flipped out and almost killed her, there was no telling what he would do around a complete stranger.

Harper looked around the forest from where she sat. It was beautiful, very quiet and simple and she loved it. Though she wished she had brought someone along so she wouldn't feel so terribly lonely. She was new to Forks and hadn't made a single friend yet. Though she had talked to Edward Cullen in her Trig class. But he had seemed so disgusted by her that she would hardly consider him a friend. She sighed, bringing her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. A few light raindrops fell from the sky. It was starting to get dark and cloudy, just like it always was in Forks. Hopefully it wouldn't start pouring.
She bent over and took her camera out. Deciding to take a few pictures so she could draw them later on. She twirled around in a slow circle, snapping random pictures now and then. She jumped, startled and bit when she saw a boy through her camera lens. She put the camera down, letting it hang from the strap around her wrist. She was just, speechless. This boy was so perfect and beautiful, just like Edward. She figured he must be one of his brothers. It looked as though that maybe he wasn't expecting her to discover his presence so suddenly. He was clothed in all black, which brought out his pale complexion even more. "Hello." Harper said softly.

He walked along the treeline, stepping over a series of roots and hopped down amongst the little saplings that had recently begun their lives closer to the stream than their parents had. Jasper let his topaz orbs wander from the human over to the stream and then back to the human, what was she doing out here? It was the middle of no where and by the looks of it she didn't have a map, once again, just another stupid thing only a human would do. He watched as she took out a camera and began taking pictures of who knows what and she look at him, shocked at his presence. Apparently she hadn't noticed his feeble attempt at making noise, he would have to try harder next time. Softly, almost inaudible to the human ear, but crisp and clear to Jasper's, a 'hello' was emitted from the female's lips. "Hi." He replied, his voice seemed booming compared to hers, his lips spread to form a smile, his pearly white teeth sparkling as if in a magazine. Noticing that she seemed kind of shocked by his appearance, he decided that it would be best if he was the one to try and start up a conversation. "What are you doing out here in the middle of no where?" He wondered, doing his best not to emphasize the word 'you' as if he was speaking about humans in general.

The sound of his voice made her jump a little at first. Probably because her first encounter with someone like this wasn't so good. But she took a deep breath and let her tense body relax a bit. She was surprised by the smile, he didn't seem the type to smile, but Harper was often wrong about people. She smiled back, though hers probably looked pathetic compared to his and his perfect teeth. "Hi." She said stupidly. She sighed, she had already said hello and now she was feeling somewhat like an idiot. She could not figure what was wrong with her today. This same thing happened with Edward, but then she grew a little comfortable with his presence. " I was um, exploring it." She explained. Though she had no idea why she had to explain her reason. "What about you? Your in here as well."
