Name: Jasper Whitlock Hale
Nicknames: Jazz (only by family)
Age: Actual: 143 Appears: 20
Gender: Male
Hometown/Country: Texas
Personality/Attitude: He hates his lack of self-control when around humans and when his vampire instincts kick in, he sometimes thinks that he should just leave and he no doubt would if it weren’t for Alice. He was very charismatic as a human and this trait was intensified when he was changed into a vampire, giving him the power to alter others’ emotions.
Likes: Alice above all, rest of the Cullens. Scholarly endeavors.
Dislikes: His loss of self-control. (and all that it leads to)
Appearance/Picture: See signature. (got lazy)
Relatives/Family: Alice, Emmett, Rosalie, Esme, Carlisle, and Edward Cullen. Rosalie Hale.
Occupation: Currently "in college"
Background/History: From Twilight Lexicon. “Jasper served as a Major in the Confederate army during the Civil War. The vampire family that changed him in 1863 was very different from the Cullens in their dietary habits –they fed off humans. Jasper became depressed over his way of life and sought something better. His search led him to Alice in 1948, which in turn led him to Carlisle in 1950. Jasper has the most difficult time with the lifestyle set by the Cullen family. He avoids contact with humans, as he is more tempted than the others to drink from them. Going to school is a difficult task, but he does it for Alice. He would do anything for Alice, as she is his whole life. Even though he treats the other members of his family with respect, he isn’t bound to them the way he is to Alice. Jasper uses the last name of Hale because he and Rosalie look so much alike and people assume them to be twins. The vampires tend to go with whatever the humans are willing to believe. Rosalie insists on using Hale as a last name, and therefore, Jasper took it as his, too.”

Sample RP: Tresspassing was something that most humans thought of simply as a minor offence, a fine and sharp warning from the land owner and then all was over, no more issues, no more trespassing, so why would the lone twenty year old worry about his presence on the beach? Many reasons really, but one was the most prominent and another stood looming behind. The treaty, not just some promise made by two bustling neighbors, but something much more, something that effected more that just two people, or two creatures to be exact. His ‘father’, Carlisle made the pact with the Quileute Indian tribe at the local La Push reservation, the two beings would live in peace, or as close to it as possible, unless a human was bitten by one of the Cullens. So why had this Cullen, Jasper, chosen to come here, invade on the Quileute’s property? Maybe it was because at this point in time he hated himself so much that he didn’t really care what was going to happen, he had grown tired of the distasteful animal blood that his family had been living off of for all of their existence. He needed a change, something that was lively, something that tasted so much better than bear or fox, something like human. With all of his might, the light haired man tried his best to keep himself from leaving, he even shouted out to the others back at the house, but no one was there to save him. Carlisle was at work, which could be expected, Esme was around town, trying to act like any normal Forks town member would, Emmett and Rosalie were off somewhere doing who-knows-what, and Alice and Edward were with Bella. Jasper was a victim of his own crime. His orbs were now black with only a faint hint of gold in them, time was running out, soon he couldn’t control himself anymore, he had to get back to the house and lock himself in his room, anything, anything to keep his family safe, to keep Alice safe. His good side was about to win him over when the wind in his pale face carried a scent, an alluring scent that he knew too well, one that he had to endure every day when he went to school, the smell of humans. His thoughts began a war, one side being sensible while the other just craving for the blood of this human that he had caught wind of. What about Alice and the others? one side said, You know you want to, you haven’t tasted any in so long, it’s about time you have a sample. the other replied, he didn’t know what to do, but before he knew it, he found himself just yards away from a female, his muscles tensed, urging him not to do this, not to take her life. It would be worth it. chimed in his evil half. Still, Jasper kept himself from moving, afraid to release his grip on his tendons in fear that he would automatically step forward towards the human, towards his prey. He knew time was running out, he knew that he couldn’t go on like this for much longer, at least she wasn’t bleeding, if she was, there never would have been a chance. Poor thing, humans, the lot of them, so fragile, so weak, what would it be like to feel so powerless? The human went and sat down and she appeared to be in thought, the light haired male felt his thoughts wandering, his power beginning to kick in, what emotion was he sending out this time? Sleepiness. No! He stopped himself, he mustn’t do this, for Carlisle, for Esme, for Edward and Emmett, and Rosalie, and most importantly, Alice. Jasper moved his arms so his nailed dug into the tree, he would make his was back into the forest and return home. It wasn’t safe here, if those dogs caught his scent by now, they would be here any minute, and that only meant one thing for him, death.
