This is a Beginners Guide to Rping. PLEASE read this if this is your first time rping.
Well to start off....
A rp is like a story written by two or more people, each person can only control the actions of their character. Everytime someone posts, the story continues and the plot, hopefully becomes more detailed.
NOTE: A RPer can post the actions of THIER CHARACTER ONLY! They are NOT allowed to rp as others' characters.
Now to address the differences between Rp and Rpg...
The answer is Nothing!
RPG stands for role play game and rp stands for Role play. A RPG is a site dedicated to rping, as this one is.
The start of an RP is most commonly the longest, most descriptive part in the whole RP. It has to give any one who joins a good idea of what is happening and where it is happening. Everyone LOVES description, so do everyone a favor, and use it. You really aren't able to start a rp with no description otherwise, why waste your time on it?
All RP's need a plot. It's is the most important thing in an RP. It gives a reason for being there, and brings it to life. Normally, RPs that don't have plots, or good ones tend to sit.... and sit.... for like ever, so do have a plot in you RPs, please. Don't forget to be ORIGINAL!
Fights always get a good turn-out, but if there are only battle RPs it tends to get old. So try out new things.
Once you've gotten a good plot, write it out. Take your time, make people WANT to join it. Don't forget to watch your capitalization, and punctuation. I hate rping in rp's with bad grammar. They don't make sense and are hard to read. Why would anyone waste time attempting to make sense of something that is unclear? It doesn't take long to use spell check... so please, use it!
