Rosina sighed as she trudged along the wet sand. The normal rain fell around her, falling on her head and making her hair darker and curlier then usual. She'd been bored in the house, she'd been in Forks for a week now and had heard there was a beach in La Push. Her dad was working, her mum had taken her little brother shopping and her little sister was around a new friends. She was all alone and bored. She wished they had stayed in England, she missed her best friends. She shook her head trying to shake herself out of being depressed and failed, she sighed and wrapped her arms around her torso. She was cold even though she'd wrapped up well in a black turtleneck sweater and jeans.

It was raining, obviously, and that's why Gabrielle had decided to come to the beach. Jacob was off somewhere, and she hadn't seen him in two days. She missed him terribly, but she knew he had work to do. She wished he didn't have to do it, but it was his duty and she respected that. But it was still lonely without him, even though she knew he'd return soon.
She hadn't expected for anyone else to come to the beach. But, as she found out, she wasn't the only one who enjoyed sitting on a wet beach. A girl in a black sweater and denim jeans was walking near by, and this prompted Gabrielle to greet her. The girl was new. Wow, it seems Forks is getting pleanty of new kids. Yay! Now I wont be all alone. She smiled and stood up off of the log she'd been perched on and made her way over to the girl. "Cold, isn't it?"

Rosina looked up surprised as a girl spoke to her. "Yes it is," she replied, the surprise fading from her face. She smiled a little at the girl, "I thought I'd seen everyone around here over the last week but I haven't seen you around...I'm Rosina, and you are?" she replied. She blinked as the rain dripped from her hair into her face.

"Gabrielle Gamarra," she reached out her hand in greeting. "You just moved here, then? Cool. I moved here recently, too, from New Orleans. It's... uh... a bit difficult to live there right now." She chuckled, even though it wasn't funny. "And you probably never saw me around before because I tend to keep to myself. At least I do at school, because everyone there is stupid."

Rosina grimaced in reply, "tell me about it, at my old school I was called a loner as I didn't want to hang around with idiots," she said and shook her head. She looked up at the cloudy sky, "at least I was at school by choice before I moved here...I was able to do the lessons I wanted not ones I have to," she said mainly to herself.

"Been there, done that." Gabrielle laughed. "Nobody talks to me at school, except Bella Swan. Everyone just assumes I'm insane because of my ep--well, that's not important. They just think I'm insane, and I dress in lots of strange clothes, so... yeah." She laughed. "The people here are just as bad as they are anywhere else, so don't expect much of a change. It's the sad truth." She was being brutally honest, even if it wasn't the best truth. "If it helps, I don't think you look like a loner at all."

Rosina rolled her eyes, "I don't expect I do," she said and sighed. She knew things wouldn't change here, it would have been idiotic to think or even hope they would. "Well at least you talk to someone...but anyway what are you doing down here in this weather?" she asked, changing the topic.

"I could ask you the same question." She winked and laughed, turning her gaze out over the violently thrashing ocean. "It's beautiful out here, especially when it rains. I like the ocean like this..." although it reminded her of the waves of water that Katrina had dumped on them, it somehow reminded her of home, and that reminder was stronger than the reminder of the furious hurricane water. "What are you doing out here?"

Rosina just shrugged, "I was just bored being stuck indoors alone," she replied. She shoved her curls behind her ears but they fell back in front again after a minute or two.
